Single Trip policies at TopDog Insurance allow you to travel for up to 31 days per trip. If you’re unsure about the travel limit in your policy, simply check your policy wording in your Customer Area by clicking here.

When purchasing an Annual Multi Trip policy, you select the date you want your cover to begin, which can be up to 31 days before your first trip. You have the option to start your policy immediately on the day of purchase or schedule it to activate from the first day of your upcoming trip.

However, while starting your policy on your trip’s departure date might seem convenient, it’s important to consider that you wouldn’t be covered for cancellation costs if something happens between the purchase date and the start date of your policy.

Cancellation cover on a Single Trip policy starts as soon as you purchase.

Single Trip and Annual Multi Trip policies available on TopDog Insurance cover every destination, as long as there’s no travel advisory issued by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. Just be sure to select your destination when getting a quote.

At TopDog Insurance, we group destinations by geographical regions. So, when getting a quote, be sure to select the destinations you are going to and the system will auto populate the geographical region category that covers all the countries you plan to visit on your trip or throughout the year.

Yes! Firstly, we define a cruise as a trip involving a sea or ocean voyage of more than 48 hours duration and including stops at more than one port where transportation and accommodation is primarily on an ocean-going passenger carrying liner, ship or river cruiser. If this sounds like your holiday, then you will need to purchase our optional cruise extension to be covered for your trip. You will then be covered for up to 21, 31 or 62 days cruising (depending on the level of cover you choose).
